# Example prompts

> Practical print-shop requests for reads, proposed updates, and verified follow-up.

Use names, date ranges, and record references that exist in your shop. These prompts depend on the capabilities available to your connection.

## Find work

> Find jobs due this week. Show the customer, due date, current status, and record ID.

> Find recent quotes for Northside Football Club and summarize their garment quantities and decoration details.

> Show the current status and history of the proof for job 1042.

> List purchase orders for this job and show which line items still need receiving.

## Review before changing

> Find the customer named Northside Football Club. Show its current contact details and propose updating the phone number. Ask me to confirm the exact record and value before applying it.

> Help draft a quote for 50 shirts with a one-colour front print. Find the customer, garment variants, and relevant pricing first. Ask for missing sizes or decoration details; do not invent them.

> Find these production tasks and show the count and current assignees before proposing a bulk reassignment.

A proposed draft in a conversation is not a saved PRINTOOLS record. Ask for the resulting record ID after saving.

## Documents and customer communication

> Request a PDF for this quote, then check the render status and return the available result.

> Prepare to send this quote. Show the recipient and quote version, complete any required hosted approval, and check delivery status afterward. Do not report it as sent while it is pending.

> Prepare to send this proof for review. Verify the proof and recipient, and stop for the required approval before sending.

## Verify the result

> Read back the job we just updated and show its current status.

> Check the operation ID from the export request. If it is still pending, say so; if it failed, show its error summary.

> Check the quote delivery we just requested. Show the returned status without assuming that acceptance means delivery.

See [Tools](/mcp/tools) for the available families and [Approvals](/mcp/approvals) for consequential actions.
