> A shop-wide default markup, so garments outside your markup groups are never quietly priced at cost.

Hey everyone,

Here are the updates for the latest version of PRINTOOLS. This release is mostly about tightening things up. We went through pricing, quotes, jobs, the catalogue and invoicing with a fine-tooth comb and fixed what we found.

## Highlights

## Pricing and markup

Garments not covered by any of your markup groups could be priced at cost without a warning. AS Colour garments were most affected, because their category names come straight from AS Colour. Three changes fix that:

* **Shop-wide default markup.** Set a default in Settings, used only when no markup group matches.
* **Pin a garment to a markup group.** Choose exactly which group prices a garment.
* **A warning on the quote line** when a garment matches no markup group.

<Tip>
  The new default markup starts empty, so none of your prices change until you set one.
</Tip>

* A sell price you type yourself is now kept as an override instead of being lost on reload.
* The catalogue and the quote now show the same price for the same garment and quantity.

## Quotes

* Saving a decoration no longer itemises a charge that's rolled into the garment price.
* Duplicating a decoration or group keeps every detail, so hidden decorations stay hidden and markup group links stay in place.
* **Your ink library is easy to find.** Click the Colours field to see your shop's own inks, clearly labelled, with search that matches the start of each word.
* Ink suggestions can be clicked with a mouse on desktop and web.

## Jobs

* Saving through the job wizard keeps every variant's produced quantity and pricing.
* A task with an attachment now loads its checklist and comments.
* Screen count, mesh grade and colour count can be cleared, and reset when you change the decoration method.
* Batch send confirms the emails it sent, instead of saying "Nothing was sent".

## Catalogue

* Two garments sharing a style code no longer show each other's details, so Set Price, Edit and Delete act on the right one.
* A blank markup rate no longer saves as 0%.
* Undo is available after update-only imports.
* The "Set markup group" bulk action is out of the garments list for now while we rework it.

## Invoicing and accounting

* Retrying a refund can no longer refund the customer twice.
* The Billing page no longer shows out-of-date beta wording above the paid plan buttons.
* Changing plans now tells you whether it starts a free trial or bills straight away.
* GST is worked out line by line, so the tax on each line sent to [Xero](/integrations/apps/xero) and [QuickBooks](/integrations/apps/quickbooks) is right, not just the total.
* QuickBooks books the business as the customer, not the contact person.

## Settings

* A status can be cleared once it's set.
* Status group options can be reordered.
* Saving a status group shows your latest changes, and a second save no longer undoes the first.
* Inviting someone who's already in your team now tells you so.
