# 21 October 2026

> Open quotes now update by themselves when someone else changes them.

Hey everyone,

Here are the updates for the latest version of PRINTOOLS. Quotes now update live while you have them open, emails to your customers can go out under your own shop's name, and raising purchase orders gets a proper check before anything is created.

> [!WARNING]
>
> **Heads up:** sending a quote, or marking it as sent, now needs a customer email and at least one priced line. If either is missing, PRINTOOLS tells you what to add first.

## Highlights

> **[Live quote updates](#quotes-and-jobs)**
>
> Open quotes update by themselves when someone else changes them.

> **[Emails from your shop](#settings)**
>
> Set a Sender name and your customer emails go out under your shop's name.

> **[Check before you order](#purchase-orders)**
>
> See exactly what Raise orders will create, with a warning on \$0 lines.

## New features

### Quotes and jobs

* **Live quote updates.** An open quote refreshes by itself when it changes somewhere else, whether that's a teammate, a connected app or an automation. No more reloading to see the latest.
* **Made by.** Choose which vendor or outsourcer makes each decoration on a job, add a new one without leaving the job, and see who's making what at a glance.
* **Quick Mock change requests.** When a client asks for changes on a Quick Mock, sending a newer mock resolves the request, or you can dismiss it yourself, so the client's portal order can carry on.

### Purchase orders

* **Check before you order.** Raise orders now shows a "Create purchase orders?" preview of everything it will create, and warns you about any \$0 lines.

### Settings

* **Sender name.** Set it in **Settings → Email**, and emails to your customers go out under your shop's name instead of PRINTOOLS.

## Improvements

### Quotes and invoices

* Voiding an invoice, or undoing Mark as Paid, moves the quote back to Accepted only if the client accepted it, and otherwise to Sent. The void window tells you which.
* Colours and sizes match the catalogue more reliably when a line is costed, so "navy" finds "Navy" and XXL finds 2XL.

### Purchase orders

* Receive is only offered while a purchase order can still be received, and on a Completed or Cancelled order it says why.

### Catalogue

* Garment search is quicker on the Gildan Brands and Legend Life catalogues.

### Look and feel

* The app version now shows in the sidebar, handy when you're talking to us.
* The Send Quote page has the normal top bar, and "Back to Editor" matches "Back to Quotes".

## Bug fixes

> **Quotes and jobs**
>
> * The QUOTE # and TOTAL column headers no longer get cut off.
> * Open-ended price bands, such as "100 - Over", now apply on web.
> * The paid-quote window closes when you move to another page.
> * Saving "Edit line item" in the pre-built item builder keeps every size and colour row.
> * A mock-up you close mid-save still finishes saving.

> **Client portal**
>
> * The details step for a repeat customer waits for your shop's details to load.
> * If a portal document fails to load, it tries again once by itself.
> * When a browser blocks copying a portal link, the link is shown so you can copy it yourself.

> **Reports**
>
> * Report pages no longer say "Opening your dashboard", and Reporting in the sidebar loads properly after a hard refresh.

> **Settings**
>
> * The invite window closes properly when you leave the Team page.

> **Stability**
>
> * Fixed several crashes, including when leaving a page and when the app is offline.

## Behind the scenes

> **Reliability and upkeep**
>
> No visible change here, but plenty of work keeping PRINTOOLS reliable: safer database updates during releases, quieter and clearer crash reports, and background tasks that keep running through routine security maintenance.

Thanks for all the feedback that shaped this release. Keep it coming.

With love from Kenny @ PRINTOOLS
