Connect ChatGPT to your PRINTOOLS shop with this public MCP URL:

1. Enable developer mode

Open Settings → Security and login, then enable Developer mode. Availability depends on your account and workspace policy.
ChatGPT Developer mode setting highlighted.

Enable Developer mode. The screenshot shows the switch before it is enabled.

2. Add PRINTOOLS

Open Plugins and select the + button at the top right. Enter:
ChatGPT Plugins plus button highlighted.

Select the top-right + button in Plugins, outlined in teal.

Create the connection. PRINTOOLS publishes OAuth discovery and registration metadata; use the client’s discovered settings instead of inventing a client ID or secret.

3. Authorize your shop

Complete the PRINTOOLS sign-in and consent flow. Review the selected organization and requested access. Approve only the permissions you intend to use.

4. Confirm the connection

Start a new conversation and enable PRINTOOLS from the tools menu. Ask:
Show the current PRINTOOLS organization using an available settings read action. Then list the read capabilities available to this connection.
Check that the organization matches the shop you intended. Then try a small request:
Find the jobs due this week and show their current status. Do not change anything.

Refresh or remove

After tool metadata changes, open the connection in Plugins, select Refresh, and start a new conversation. Manage or remove the connection from ChatGPT when you no longer need it. For authentication errors or missing actions, see Troubleshooting. For writes, see Approvals. These steps follow OpenAI’s connection guide. Exact controls can vary with account and workspace policy.
