Use the PRINTOOLS MCP server to find shop records, prepare changes, and follow up on production work in conversation.
Connect with your PRINTOOLS account through OAuth. The connection uses the organization and permissions associated with your authorization.

Get connected

Start with a read: “Show my current PRINTOOLS organization, then find the jobs due this week.”

Work with your shop

The tool catalogue is organized around customers, quotes, jobs, invoices, catalogue items, vendors, purchase orders, proofs, and production tasks. Other groups cover files, exports, reports, settings, integrations, webhooks, and automations. Your connection advertises only the actions available to its grant. An action described here may be unavailable because of your scopes, organization role, or server configuration. The tool list returned by your authenticated connection is the authority for what you can call. See the tool catalogue and example prompts.

Changes and approvals

Reading a record, updating it, and sending it to a customer are different operations. Some consequential changes require PRINTOOLS-hosted approval. A chat reply saying “yes” does not complete that approval or prove delivery. Ask the assistant to show the target records and proposed changes first. After an operation, inspect its status or read the affected record back. See Approvals and operation status.

Connection address

Use the MCP URL above in your AI client. This documentation website is a guide, not the PRINTOOLS business-data server. You do not need to deploy a local server for the hosted connection. For direct application integrations, see the Public API. For connection errors, see Troubleshooting.
